The impact of the hormonal economy on your sexuality

13 listopada 2019

The common translation of sexuality by hormonal changes in society is attributed to the female gender. However, as in the case of ladies, you, too, are faced with hormonal problems that play a significant role. From interpersonal relations to unpleasant health consequences, every imbalance - excess, shortage, inadequate hormone management - distorts normal functioning. What is the impact of the hormone economy on your sexuality? Read it and check it out.

The role of testosterone

The most important hormone from the perspective of male sexuality is, of course, testosterone. It affects many elements in the body, but in the case of men it is responsible for sexual stimulation, willingness to compete and taking risks, which is to contribute to getting the best possible partner. From a broader perspective, it also influences the muscle structure (attractiveness) of endurance, and above all, erection and drive. A drop in testosterone means irritability, anxiety, and a lack of desire to have sex with men. The impact of hormone management on your sexuality is not insignificant, so it should be stimulated so that the concentrations are within normal limits. It is produced in the nuclei and is responsible for the typically masculine sexual characteristics. If it's needed, it's the brain, the pituitary gland, to be exact.

The impact of the hormonal economy on your sexuality - testosterone

Testosterone is the organization and supervision of the sexual function of men. First of all, it manifests itself in the development of genital organs and their proper functioning. Additionally, it supports sperm production, is responsible for hair growth (e.g. on the chin), mutation (vocal cord system), how fat tissue is arranged, supports sexual activity and what we like and how we behave (the so-called behavioral profile). High testosterone levels are the domain of men under 30 years of age. This number may be smaller due to various ailments - mainly lifestyle and illness. After the age of 30, its level can be halved and the reactions to this change are highly individualised. Fluctuations can be the greater the more affected the use of stimulants and exposure to stress.

Other hormones

Men's hormone management isn't just testosterone. Thyroxine is responsible for the attractive silhouette and energy to act. Thanks to it, sugars are burned faster and oxygen is supplied to the cells faster. Decreasing concentrations are mainly metabolic problems - chronic fatigue and sluggishness. The next hormone is melatonin, which promotes good sleep quality. Hunger is regulated by lectin and ghrelin. They can be easily activated by playing sports (preferably in the open air with a lot of oxygen). And although high stress has a negative effect on sexuality, in smaller doses it releases tolerable doses of cortisol that seem safe. High concentration is a way to gain weight, hypertension and muscle weakness. The decrease in potency and libido may be associated with thyroid problems, where appropriate hormone suppressants should be taken during treatment. That is why it is advisable to order additional thyroid tests for routine blood tests.
